Mist eliminator installation and service

Access, washing, drainage inspection — the schedule comes from the data sheet, not "once a year out of habit"

Drainage and re-entrainmentTwo phases: normal film drainage to the outlet, and flooding with droplets torn back into the stream.Phase 2 — flooding and carryoverliquid accumulates → droplets torn into the streamPhase 1 — normal drainagefilm drains → pan → drain
Service checks: runoff, surface cleanliness, frame condition

Short answer: service comes down to three checks: the drainage works, the surfaces are clean, the pack is intact. The frequency follows the model data sheet and the duty, not “habit”.

Routine checks

  1. Drainage: free runoff, a trap, no blockages.
  2. Surfaces: deposits on vanes/mesh; when fouled — washing (for mesh packs — per the schedule).
  3. The pack: integrity of vanes/mesh, condition of the frame and seals.

Installation requirements

  • access for inspection and removal of the pack;
  • orientation and runoff direction — per the data sheet;
  • no mechanical loads on the pack from adjacent elements.

Numerical service intervals are set by the manufacturer/the design: the site does not “recommend” them.
